I got no problem with Brett Ratner, really. I love the Rush Hour movies, so he's cool with me. Now, maybe saying the movie was "Balls" is a bit of an over reaction, but I'm definatly disappointed in this movie. I dont even blame Brett, I blame a script that was writtin in only 6 FREAKIN' days, oh man did it show on screen.
-The One-Liners were so whack, I love one-liners, but none of these were funny or clever.
-Colossus looked like crap! Not only did he not speak russian, he had I think one line in the whole film and they couldnt make the armor look good?
-Pyro can control fire, meaning he can fucking make cool shapes and shit, so why is he just a glorified blowtorch?
-I love Vinnie Jones, but Juggs was weak. "I'm the juggernaut bitch" was yet another shitty one-liner
-Mother fuckin Jaime Maddrox is awesome, dude only has two scenes???
-In case you couldnt tell, I hate the fact that all these new mutants get NO development, at all. I understand theres only so much you can do but seriously, why should I care about any of them? I mean, I know who they were, so I care in that way, but as movie characters they sucked. Angel is another one who has about...3 or 4 scenes and does nothing really special
Overall everything Singer was doing was just ruined to me, but the movie made out like gangbusters and people do honestly seem to like it so I expect more of the same.
Dont get me wrong...its not a bad film, I'm not trying to say that but I didnt like it.
